I can not believe that the holes you drilled into the heat sinks has not given you any problems. Ludi tried to explain to you that air by itself from a computer fan can not possibly cool a CPU die, cause you can not move enuf air to cool such small area as the die. The heat sink spreads the heat out from the CPU die area over a very large area so these small quiet fans can cool the CPU effectly. I do not recommend doing this drilling to any type of CPU, not even the ones with only heat sinks & no fans. |
