Does memory interleaving work like RAID 0? I've been fiddling with some BIOS tweaks on my KT7A-RAID, Sandra2000 (only bench I have) shows good gains with 4-way interleaving, and more with 4k page mode enabled. What is 4k page mode? Reads larger amounts at a time? My results: 256MB PC133, CL3, no interleave, no 4k mode, 6x133 (650 Duron) baseline, ultimately up 47/58% with 4-way interleave, 4k page mode, CL2, 5x150. DOS games seem to have trouble with some of these settings, though. Real-world feel? Like a K&N air filter, flows 400% more air, but only results in a few % seat-of-the-pants difference.
