I believe that the file system should be the same
(CDFS) but the configuration has changed and you
may run into a memory management issue on the host
side, that is, the chunks of data that are
transferred are too large.

One thing I thought might be worth trying is to
burn a CD as "music" CD and see whether that makes
a difference. The difference is that music CDs are
written in uncompressed blocks whereas data CDs
are written as "files".

I have written data in "music format" in the past
and it was working just fine.
