Was wondering what my power options might be limited to.
I have a spare 320GB WD passport drive around and was going to install it where the 40GB was...however I'm concerned.....
When I plugged it into the USB port as a trial and to copy over my ghost files from the 40GB, I suspect the Armada doesnt have the grunt in the USB ports to drive the 320GB drive as it wont fire up. (no not running XP SP3)
Raises the question - would I be overloading anything if I finally plug it into the main Hard Drive connector inside.....the laptop might not be designed for a 600-700mA drive demand....if that's what is claimed it is needing.
Works fine off my HP laptop 6910p USB port.
