Sounds something like an extended memory failure not a mobo failure. Have you checked the mem settings in the BIOS? and are they consistant with the modules you are using? I've had a similar problem using the wrong population sequence as well. I worked it out by moving one stick of mem and testing it in the other slots. The mobo manufacturer may have some beep code interpretations on their website to help diagnose the problem.
