OK I want to setup a LAN with my frend but he lives 500m from me but we both live in residental building and we have a clear view from my room to his room from the window, with no interfirences between, but still its about 400-500m in straight line window to window, so, if I'd buy a wireless NIC for him, could he connect from that distance, and if yes, what could be the maximum transfer rates that he could obtain? is 2MB/s+ possible?
