Back in the Day are rule of thumb (Pun intended) was if it's to hot to touch then your in thr Kill/Dead0 Zone for the CPU...got two as a reminder.
You fried the CPU cvause when you lowered the RAM ratio so it allowed the CPU to go as high as it could before fried time...@ 100C water boils and the CPU was past that!
