Maybe SubC was suitably wary. Oh...Well....Plan K....hmmmm....still no DVD/CD Drive evident.....

Actually thumb drive was C: intially and then after Windows reboot drive letters changed and thumbdrive became B: so it got it's self screwed...Reinstalled via B:/setup.exe over the top of c:/Windows and that went okay until reboot when it came up with the insufficient memory and shutsdown.
