there is usually a reset button located somewhere, wipes out the the settings, then you can go for it. much like the reset buttons on routers and whatnot....

i would suggest a visit to the manu's website, maybe the FAQ's will help, you can download a copy of the manual, and prolly a simple question to their tech support will get a response/solution...
