Didn't follow up on my previous postings as the fist go round resulted in a fried trace and a no boot.
repaired trace, then tested board with an x2 3800+, workie just fine, breaths large sigh of relief, set board aside..........
then a bit of a lucky find, a beta bios that has Brisbane support, loaded it, set the jumpers, crossed fingers, fired her up....
bingo, .65nm 3600+ Brisbane now running a cool 2.4 gig, 8x300, stock volts, 2gig of Adata DDR2 pc800 @400(480 effective).
these Dual Sata II boards just refuse to die.....
this is going to be the silent pc project...........pretty quiet right now with the AMD copper heatpipe setup.....
the ATI 9800Pro is living again too, righteous!!!
