Well, I tried the parallel port and it was the same delay.

I'm beginning to think that this is not a problem with the printer port. The seemingly 100% usage of resources takes place while the UPS tag is being acquired from the UPS website. I think it has more to do with that download of data then with the actual printing once the download completes and the label is ready to print.

A few computers back I had some sort of utility that had a graphic chart showing cpu usage. Something on the order of MSCONFIG but I can't remember what it was. I tried to find it on my machine so I could watch cpu usage while this UPS tag goes through the process, but I have no idea where I downloaded it from or what it was called. If I remember right it was a utility that was indluded in Win98, but not in anything since. It had to be gotten separately.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
BH
