There shouldn't be a problem but rather make a backup before you try and lose a bunch of files.

If you can't make a backup, get a new drive, there are always specials, like the 320 GB Maxtor I picked up from CompUSA for $89 with the 16 MB cache..

Then you just copy everything over, regardless of the file system on the source drive.
