I have no clue on those other games but
These games I know about
3.Half-life 2
4.Doom 3
5.Quake 4

I did not say you could not play them I said they will not look very good & I am not even sure if they would stay smooth at all times.
I played these games with a AMD 2400+ or a Semprom 2800+, using an ATI 8500. But the setting were low quality & a small screen size. I later got a G4 6800 non ultra 256MB with 12 pipes instead of the normal 16 pipes & I could turn the quality up. Later I built a AMD 64 bit dual core & put that G4 6800 video card in there & my FPS went up 50%. If you over clocked that Mother Board you would only gain maybe 3% in FPS & maybe not worth the risk of burning it out fast. The real CPU power is where big gains can happen like a modern CPU. Your switch from 1 GHz to 2.6 GHz is a giant step. Just stay from the game called F.E.A.R. that game will make your computer choke.
BTW I still my Half-life 2 game everyday, the online multi-player version that is that comes with that game & you play for free
Bob
