I have a M571 that has 2 x 128 MB DIMMS, HYNDAI make. Not ALL 128MB dimss work.

Also about the Cache limit, it does not matter, the extra memory (less disk swapping) compensates for any slowdown (if any), I test to see the slow down and could not, its just a technical aspect with no real feelable difference in practice.
