This all depends on your budget, your taste in resolution, and what type of video you want to use (VGA, HDMI, DVI, Composite, SVHS, Coaxial, etc.)

Typically, low-mid range 800X600 projectors run about $500-$1000 and low-mid range 1024X768 projectors run about $850-$2000. I would recommend the highest resolution possible, if your budget allows.

Note: The main gripe I have seen with all video projectors is lamp life. Generally, I have seen lamp life from 1000hr to 3000hr. This will be your biggest cost when needing to replace it ($300-$700). Keep this in mind for the future.

I have a Benq PB6200 (1024X768 native) for almost 2 yrs. It has been relatively good, but it is not as good as the InFocus, Sharp, and Viewsonic models that I have used at work. However these are nearly $1000-$2000 more than I paid for mine.

Overall, I can't really recommend any one model over another, because they are almost about the same at similar price ranges. This is definitely one area where "you get what you paid for," catagory. I would only recommend a model that you can afford. Just do a little research from several projector review websites before deciding.
