I have me an AsusP4800Delux with 2x2 jumpers to enable USB Device Wakeup. The back two are for rear USB and the front two are for Front USB - of course.
I have an RF Wireless keyboard plugged into one of the rear USB ports.
1. I presume its just a simple case of switching over to USB wakeup....and when I press a key on the keyboard...a) it wakes from some sort of suspend mode....b) may even be able to power up from off????...comments/experience pls.
2. It would be great if you can just hit a key to suspend into a ready for action state...any links to edumacate me on the finer points of hibernation.....(it's winter down here)....;>)
Together with the plasma this is one serious power consumer....say 500W for plasma + 100-300W for the HTPC + 20W for the external Terabyte drive = 700Wx8hr/day*365daysx0.13$/kWhr=$260/year (or $200US).
PS - Like always, my 1TB drive has only 250GB left!!! Who'd a thought you could fill that #ucker!
