This is where a plug & a volt ohm muli-meter would come in handy. Thou I am not sure but just using any 12 volt wall wart AC or DC would be a bad thing. Cause if that has to charge batteries too & if he batteries are over charging that could be very bad thing. You might want to consider finding out what the manufacture recommends & you could try asking thru email. I added a link below.
