Thats one of the reasons I switched from an AMD 2400+ (around 120+ F) to sempron 2800+ (was around 94 degrees F). The 2400+ was running very hot so it was eating juice for lunch, the PSU still gave out in the end with the semprom. Still the worst part is the PSU I have in there now (since the end of Jan) is cheap. As my wife's identical PSU gave out with an AMD 1700+ (low volts & low temp CPU) only after 2 months. Maybe the stupid PSU likes to have a bigger load on it to run stable, I hope LoL. I have lost 3 PSU's this year alone which is a record since I am only maintaining 3 computors & two of them were Antec's 250 & 300 watt units.
