How do you reinstall a backup ?.
Option 2 sounds riskly.
The removable trays I have & use for backups or repairs only. But I dont like them to much, I even modified a couple to allow the fan air to flow better & get some more of the heat out. But they still run very hot which always causes trouble. Besides switching the mobil racks is a pain in the but! to.
