One trick missing is the PWR OK pin, if the PSU starts up & checks itself & everything is fine. Then the PSU will feed +5 volts to the MoBo.
Then the MoBo seeing this +5 volts will turn around & start up the CPU & bootup everthing else.
On my first AT PSU the PWR OK sensing circuit went bad, even thou the power was fine. It was a snap to bypass.
