It maybe possible, but is the key sticking down at all ?. This can happen do to over use, being cheap, or something sticky spilled in there like pop or coffee. Can you hit the key & get it to stop making the error ?
Second have you tried with the power off unplugging the key board plug & plugging it back a few times ?. As the plug could be almost falling out.

You could have bad electronics in the keyboard as there is a very small computer in there to.
