I'm considering building a couple new pc's using the Abit AS8 motherboard. I would be adding either a P4 3.4 or 3.6 processor.
One of the reasons I am looking at the AS8 is that I immediately need 3 PCI slots and would like to have one spare for future use. This motherboard has 4 PCI slots plus 1 AGP for video rather then the newer PCI Express slot.
These will be stand alone CAD stations, with some use of Word and Excel.
Can anyone give me some feedback as to whether this is a good choice for a motherboard for these 2 systems?
