I did get the higher pagefile to reset while in xp sometimes & even on one reboot sometimes.
I tested the photo editor I used & the xtra virtual memory did not help, crying here.
I now assume I need xtra DDR ram & maybe win 98 will not freeze with the xtra memory either.

All this testing & I could not get it got me mad, I found three ways to get to the pagefile setting.
Right click my computer
control panel
computer management

So I ended on microsoft.com dug there for awhile, you just know it would not be easy to find.
& I came up with pagefile may not work do to network policy settings.
This one even affects my aunts computer & she only has a modem & her high speed internet is thru the USB port..

So I dug around in xp some more & could find no more setting for network & memory.
If I was allowed to allocate more RAM memory to a single program, like a work station
I am sure this would work.
MicroSoft you stink thank you for making OS so easy that they are broken & stay that way.
Bob
