To make a long story short...just RMA it because it may not be worth the trouble:
Could have gotten a static charge while installing it
Maybe shortening or grounding out agst something on the Case
Maybe the the powerstandoff need flipped
Could be the PSU doesn't like it
Or any other reasons which may call for a complete removal and reinstall so while it's out the Case you can test it but you might as well request for an RMA...
