BEOS was one I thought would be ok. However I could never get it to run. Linux has a way to go, but if security is a real issue then Linux is the only way to go. Problem is Linux is way short in Financial proggies, which in my book is a real shame, because that would move it up to #1 for me.
You could then run the windows machines strictly for games and do your internet and online banking etc on Linux. Linux will do photos, burn CD's and I think DVD's now, but still not viable for Tax software and checking accounts, credit accounts and investment accounts. Wish it were set up for that because I'd move all this stuff to the Linux box and be relatively safe in the knowledge no one could get to it. Most people can't get past the desktop let alone get to the proggies and everything is password protected. Root is really protected. Plus it does not seem to crash very easily and Linux can handle 64 bit.
