We could, but then again its the name in google that counts. Why else would those other bidders be willing to pay $800 - $900 for cpu-central.com when they could get cpu-central.net or cpu-central.org for $10. (actually my experience is that it costs a lot more than $1000 to move to the top of google)

I'd consider getting the .net and .org if some one could give me a good reason. I mean there are a lot of people with more web savy than myself. In my experience the .net and .org are a waste of money. (a way for registrars to boost revenue)

I don't know, maybe there's a case for splitting the functionallity across the three sites - say the forum on .net, members only on .org, and .com being the parent site with sponsor ads (com is short for commercial after all).
