Yes it's a downer and makes one numb...great for sex. It is officially classified as a Hypnotic and yes it is/was used as a Truthh seruim. There were other good things back when that were in the same class (Hypnotic) such as Quades/Sopers such as Orange AS,Lemons, Rorer 714's.
