Hi guys,

Well I finally put together a new system. I've got an a64 3000+ with the epox 8kaj (or something like that) 754 board. So I put this thing together, and to my dissapointment, I get random serious errors in win2000. Serious as in blue-screen-memory-dump errors.

This only seems to happen with programs like 3Dmark. I can run CPUburn for 3 hours and it's fine, but 3dmark usually crashes the computer during the first run.

Anyway, I just noticed that my vcore is only 1.38-1.40 volts, even though in the BIOS it's set at the default value of 1.55volts. When I up the bios value to the max of 1.7 volts, I actually get a vcore of 1.5-1.52 volts.

This would make me think that the power supply is crapping out, but I fins this very surprizing. I just bought it last year and it's a seasonic super tornado 300W power supply. I know that it's only 300W, but it's a very high quality 300W power supply. For example, it's supposed to give 18A on the 12V rail. I've seen 450W power supplies that supply the same amount... Furthermore, I've only got a radeon 8500, one hdd, one dvd burner, one wireless network card and one tv card. It's not like the thing should be taxed to the max.

What gives?
