I might. Think I'll just put the Hercules back in and have good sound instead of funky sound. But I've got the link if I change my mind. Thanks
Got a HP I'm working on tonight. Got Winders back on it, but the dingbat that owns it threw away the restore disks. Naturally it has that Riptide Audio/Conexant Modem Combo card in it. Makes my day trying to get drivers that will work for it.FOund some but now I have to go back over there and see what the part number is on the card before I get them. 23 meg DL. Also hope I've got the right video drivers. Suppose to have an Asus P5S-VM mother board in it. From HP's spec's it says it's a SIS530 Video. I just downloaded about 19 meg of drivers I'm hoping will work for it. Throw them in and see if I get the BSOD. He wants on the internet. Oh joy, could pull that damn Riptide out of there and sell him my Zoom external. The machine has a whole 64 meg of ram. K62-500.
Tomorrow's another HP to try and get off the ground. At least they have the restore disks. So maybe that will go smooth? I'm not betting on it.
After all it's a HP, PIII though I think.
And then I have Kallie's here(7 year old granddaughter). Another PSU gone to H and maybe the secondary IDE is out. So far couldn't get the CD-ROM recognized on the secondary. Need to try a different cable, but the HP with no restore disks seemed to be wedged in first. Pushy dingbat neighbor.
Probably get to do all of this for free and even buy a new PSU for the Granddaughter to boot. I'm going to have to start charging.
I want them to leave me alone. I need to plant Iris and clean house.
