I'm not sure. I can't boot the machine, because Regina has the PSU off it, so she can surf the net until the parts come in for her new machine. (There seems to have been a rash of PSU's dying out here. )
I have it on a 13 gig HDD and seems to have plenty of room left over. Mostly it depends on what all you stuff in there with it. Like different proggies. Linux seems to give you many choices and has Open Office installed, WINE, The Gimp, a few Browsers, Firewalls, and on and on. Oh yeah a few games, Burner proggies, DVD stuff, it's really got everything in the bag so to speak.

I just formatted my IBM 13 gig HDD out and then let YAST (Yet Another Setup Tool) do it's thing. It does it all pretty much and lets you know when it needs another disk. Use KDE for your desktop and Konqueror to set up the net. Do not ever run Linux as root. Create a user name & password other than the one that root uses.

Somewhere on one of the disks should be a 3D rendering software. So if you have the hankering you should be able to create 3D models etc.
Wolfgang told me a 13 gig HDD was a little light, but he suggested 8 gigs for Root(/root) and 4 gigs for home (/home) and then maybe 512 meg for swap.
Use ReisnerSF as the file partition. But somehow I ended up with everything in 1 root partition, which for me works ok. Just kind of like having all your stuff in "C" Partition under winders.

I'm not sure if SUSE's site will tell you how many megs it's going to need or if it'll say what the minimum size for Pro is.
