Your point being?

Putting aside the true chronological order of website releases, let's say that anandtech was the first relased, did that stop Toms Hardware from releasing a site, did that in turn stop rage3d from releasing theirs (not that rage3d is a good example, they are a more focused tech site).

The simple answer is no. The internet is a large place, on P2P alone there is an average of 2.9 million users online at any one time, sharing millions of terrabytes of data.

The internet is large enough for many tech sites, with many different slants.

You highlighting that there are other tech sites is, well...a bit silly actually. Because Holden releases cars, does that mean Ford cannot? or should not? Diversity is good.

Some sites have their ups and downs, toms hardware is big, but it is biased in the most horrible way. Some sites accept all kinds of corporate bribery to write better reviews, Utopia Tech is building from the ground up as a community forum, for the people to so speak.

There's nothing wrong with inviting people to share that, to have fun and socialise within it.
