someone is telling me that if I have a computer that comes with windows xp professional and I'd rather use 2000, that the license for my OS allows me to downgrade. That I could borrow a windows 2000 cd from wherever and install it, as long as I don't use the windows xp license on any other computers.

This sounds odd to me....
