So the fix apparently is to put a higher latency module in eg Crucial 2100 to slow the timings so the thing will post (Corsair will presumably work within those timings fine) and then adjust the timings in the BIOS.

So I am buying a stick of slower RAM just for one POST or I am going to have to use heterogenous RAM
