I have an orginal version FIC AZ 11 & our Bios versions are different mine is Award Modular version 6.00 PG which I get by hitting the tab key on bootup & hit the pause key as soon as the screen changes. In this screen I also get the fail-safe default. There maybe an updated bios you need from FIC. BTW I just went back into bios & its called fail-safe default there to it was my fault I was in a hurry.
In bios I assume virus check is disabled. In power management screen you said you have ACPI disabled (top line) but is the 2 lines below this disabled also ?. On second line you hit enter & make sure all 3 things buried in power management are disabled. On the third line PM should be no also.
Maybe a bios fix.
I would try a differrent keyboard its easy to test.
Last hardware not changed is the case maybe there is a bad switch.
Pull reset plug & test, still bad pull power plug & use reset button as power button.
When you install the the OS you are using the drivers disk that came with your MoBo right ?
The one thing you have not tried is WIN 98 the OS's you have used to date I will never use
thou I am extreme. Me was just plain bad & lots of stuff will not work with XP unless you have all updated drivers.
