Andy has this board running an 800MZ Classic Athlon. The only problem we ever had with the board was with ram and ram can cause a SUWIN problem according to one of the M$ articles. He had a stick of Crucial go bad on it.
Altho it idn't give him a Suwin error, it just sounded like a Euro siren and wouldn't boot or stop the noise. Geeze. Doesn't Asus have a 5 year warranty on their mainboards? It's possible that the HDD isn't quite right even though it's formatting ok and scan disk is ok. Had a WD on Juanita's that would format out ok and scan alright and be damned if you could get windows on it w/o errors. It would even get through the drive test proggie ok, but you still couldn't get winders on it w/o a fight. Finally a month before the warranty ran out the drive died. All those years of fighting it. All those formats and reinstalls Even after you finally got winders on it less than 30 days later you were back at it.I would have used it for a nice window prop.

Mainboard box doesn't show a chache. However Andy's does show onboard sound. I wonder...has Bones got that disabled in BIOS? I had it go out on an Epox and talk about every error in the book. I had a running OS and it sent it into WPF's, stack overflows and would not boot or reinstall winders until I killed the onboard sound off.
