My buddy has an NForce based board (not a micro), and he claimes it to be rock-stable. The only drawback is ASUS's non-existent technical support.
In general, ASUS products are good quality, and very stable, but if you ever have any kind of problem with them, forget about getting an answer to your problem from them.
