You don't need the full version to do a clean install. It just asks to verify that you do own a copy of 98 or Millenium when installing, it checks the disc then you take it back out and put the XP upgrade disc back in. IMO the full version is a waste of $$$$. I am using the upgrade home version of XP and have no hint of 98 or millenium on mine as it is formatted in NTFS. Whatever you do dump 98/milli and get XP of whatever flavor, once you get over the god damned goofy colors, you will never look back at them other lame assed OS's. |
