Probably an inadvertent error when the Sheriff was doing some clean-up. I've noticed in the past that you can delete a post at any level of a thread and the others, if left alone, will hold their positions, instead of jumping.

Unfortunately the missing post doesn't leave a blank spot or anything, so you get an effect like we have here -- the next new thread looks like the header to the previous post.
