I shall explain.

Col. James Churchward, before the theory of continental drift was developed, in his book The Lost Continent of Mu described a submerged continent in the Pacific Ocean, foreshadowing by more then half a century of Nur-Avraham discovery of the Pacific plate. "Serious" Scientists of Churchward's time ridiculed the ideas of a Pacific plate, although such a plate makes the Pacific seafloor consistent with the rest of the world.
