I'm finally upgrading my old TNT video card!!!

I think that I have had my bang for the buck with this card... it's almost 4 years old! I've never had the money, or the need for a new card. Now that I have just returned from treeplanting I have a small time window in which to spend my new found wealth before it all disapears into things like rent and tuition. I was thinking about getting an ATI 8500 since the price seems right - I have at most $200cdn to spend, which is about 125$ american. The only problem is that I am a bit confused as the which card to get exactly. There seems to be so many different types of cards. Should I go for the 128MB LE version or the original 64MB version? And what about the 64MB LE version? Some have dual display, some don't... Are there any hardware differences between OEM and retail versions?

Also, do you guys think that I should wait? I know that the DX9 parts are coming out in a few months but I wouldn't be able to afford them anyway. Am I wrong to think that it will be a while before I NEED a DX9? It's been almost a year since the Geforce 3 came out and I still don't see any games that use this card to it fullest potential.
