Off Subject Question

I know this is not the web site for this, but I will ask anyways. In attempting to set up a web site for a friend, I typed in a preferred www.xxx.com address on my browser, and up pops what was called "test web site for xxx.com" and www.xxx.com. How do I find out who owns this com address. Tks
