Okay I'm not a big electronics expert. I've got a bunch of LEDs and was thinking of making some kind of lighting system in the case. These are 5 Volt LEDs and I tried using them of the Power supply 5volt side and they light up really bright yellow (although they are green). Install them off the MB power indicator and they light up green. Soooo, what am I missing? I'm assuming too much power and my understanding is that they only work one way so installing them in series, to eliminate power input, won't work either. I'm trying to eliminate the MB from the circuit in case of shorts, over current, etc.. So what's a good way to go about it?
I work with high volt fixtures daily, but I'm not catching something here with these smaller ones.
