Gas here is back up to $1.35/gallon after a low of $0.99 a few months ago.
Sure, it hits my own pocket book too, but my small car gets ~40mpg highway. I just smile whenever I see a huge SUV, driven by someone who is obviously *not* using it for heavy duty hauling, turning over a $20 or two on the pump readout 
The "rice rocket" crowd has the right idea, even if some of the more extreme aesthetic modifications should be banned on principle.
