not that small. There are, however, so called biscuit PCs (FTL). On the frontpage you can see that VIA has its low power platform ready - small yet powerful enough for a car mp3 player.

I do want to build something like that myself too. But I need to find time first, then a platform... Maybe the VIA Eden, who knows?
