If the cap is just loose, a quick touch of a soldering iron ought to reset it. OTOH, if the cap seems to be pulling in and out of the wire, even if only somewhat, then it has started to tear loose inside and will be unreliable.

They are pretty easy to replace, though. On a motherboard you would have to be extra cautious, but it could be done.
