hmm kinda sounds similar to what mine is doing. Mine is an Asus P4S333 w/ ddr though. But when I shut it down, I have to either unplug it from the UPS or I have turn the switch off on the back of the power supply for about 7 seconds, then the light on the optical mouse will flash on, then I can flip the switch on p.s. then it will turn on. If I don't do this I get nothing.
Most of the time I just hit the stand by button on the keyboard, so it doesn't really bother me too much, but I would like to get to the bottom of it. I have thought of replacing the p.s. to see it that was it, like Ben suggested.
