Did a little reading in the manual re. memory. Turns out two of the chips are C-RIMM modules that just maintain continuity for the memory circuit. So all memory modules are correct. Two 256meg modules and 2 C-RIMM's in the correct slots as per the manual.

I removed all the RIMMs to see if I got a "no memory" beep tone since the manual said a long beep continuous cycle meant no or bad memory. I got no beeps at all (and of course no POST) with the memory removed.
