I'll guess your running Windows 98SE?
Do you have a windows password on one of the machines? If you do or they both have different passwords for "Windows Networking", log off one and change your username and password to match the other. Also make sure you have file and printer sharing enabled on BOTH machines and that both machines are using the same network protocol. (IPX/SPX or TCP/IP binding to the NIC).
