Uh huh, however this seems to have helped the video in the SIMS. I was running this 64 meg video card at 64 meg Aperture, but when I changed to 128meg in BIOS, I can now turn lighting back on in the SIMS and it's not as choppy. They did say that 64 meg was right for WIN98, no more, but since XP is a resource hog, most gamers using XP have found the 128 meg setting is better. Hey I dunno.....not my field of expertise.Off to find this dumb post......remember I only play one game, the SIMS and all it's expansion packs. Trust me it's a heavy load in deed. Some even say they have upped the page file to 1.5 gigs (HDD space allowing) to help improve game play. In the meantime I found this little proggie to set the refresh rate in games, applies to ATI cards only. Beta version......yeah I'll get you that too. I was browsing NT Compatible and this is the stuff I found.......maybe we're missing out on something? |
