hmm you may be right about the partitions, though I am trying a 3Gb windows drive with WinME and so far have had no problems. Used to foul up bad in Win95c.
Another tweak is manually loading the the VMM32 vxd files into the VMM32 folder in system and into the system folder itself. For some reason the entire Win9x series fail to load these vxd's which can allegedly assist performance and are on the Win9x cd in the cab files. I keep a set in a back up folder for OS instals.
